As part of Elevate, we are excited to have a large, light and airy room we call THE SPACE. At Elevate we believe that creativity can have a huge, beneficial impact on our state of wellbeing. For this reason, The Space is a dedicated Creative Space, where we offer a wide variety of in-person creative workshops, classes & creative cuppies. These are run by both Kate, our Creative Director and multiple Creative Collaborators. See our current workshop/course/class list below. SEAGLASS JEWELLERY - BEGINNERS

WORKSHOP INFO: £28 (2hrs) BEGINNERS SEAGLASS PENDANTS Everything included & Refreshments WHAT TO EXPECT: In this two hour workshop Sarah will demonstrate & be on hand to help, guide & inspire you to make your own seaglass pendants. You will be able to make 3 pendants in three different, stunning designs. You will be able to take home your creations on the day. You will learn techniques including how to drill the seaglass; how to use silver plated or copper coloured jewellery wire to make individual & different pendant designs. There will be pre-drilled seaglass available to use as well. All the seaglass has been hand-collected from Stonehaven beach. EXPERIENCE: The workshop and skill level is for complete beginners & no experience is necessary. A level of dexterity is required to use the tools and manipulate the wire, so please keep this in mind when considering booking. MATERIALS: All materials and equipment are provided for use during the workshop. Refreshments will also be provided. Glasses (prescription or safety) should be worn. Please bring your own if you have them. ABOUT SARAH: Sarah has always loved making and crafting. Her current focus is on coastal crafts, mainly using seaglass, driftwood and pebbles from Stonehaven beach in her work. Sarah makes driftwood, seaglass and pebble designs, and seaglass jewellery. CLAY WEE HOOSE

WORKSHOP INFO: £35 (2hrs) Everything Included - materials, glazing, firing & refreshments. In this two hour workshop you will hand assemble and decorate your own wee hoose out of clay. You can choose from a variety of different mark making tools, objects & techniques to embellish your own wee hoose. Helen will be on hand to help & guide you through all the processes, how to assemble your house and add the finishing touches. You can choose the colour of your roof from a set of glazes, making everyone’s wee hoose even more individual. At the end of the session your wee hoose will be taken to Helen's Studio to be bisque fired & glazed. They will then be returned to Elevate: The Space in approx. 4-6 weeks for collection. MATERIALS & EXPERIENCE: All materials, tools and equipment are provided for use during the workshop. Refreshments will also be provided. The workshop is suitable for beginners, those who have some experience with clay and anyone looking to have an enjoyable session “playing with mud” (clay)! ABOUT HELEN: Helen, Far From Dull Ceramics, has been creating with clay for over 20 years. She loves to make pieces that have a story or are inspired from a fantastical origin. WIRE FLOWERS - BEGINNERS

WORKSHOP INFO: £28 (2hrs) BEGINNERS Everything Included & Refreshments In this 2hour workshop you will learn to make your own beautiful botanical arrangement in driftwood, with our creative tutor Sarah . Sarah will demonstrate & teach you the techniques needed to use the wire to create a small decorative floral sculpture, which will then be mounted in driftwood. She will be on hand to help, guide & inspire you make your own wire arrangements. The driftwood has been hand collected from Stonehaven beach (you can bring your own piece of driftwood if you like). MATERIALS & EXPERIENCE: All materials and equipment are provided for use during the workshop. Refreshments will also be provided. WORKSHOP INFO: £28 (2hrs) 1 INTERMEDIATE PENDANT & EARRINGS Everything Included & Refreshments ***Please note - you must have completed Beginners' Seaglass to be able to attend this workshop*** WHAT TO EXPECT: Following on from our Beginners' workshop, in this two hour workshop you will make a seaglass and wire pendant and a pair of drop or hoop earrings. Sarah will demonstrate the techniques & be on hand to help, guide & inspire you to make your own seaglass pendant and earrings to take home on the day. You will build on the techniques you've already learned to encase your seaglass in an elegant wire wrap. You will also learn how to make your own wire earring hooks or hoops. There will be pre-drilled seaglass available to use as well. All the seaglass has been hand-collected from Stonehaven beach. CERAMIC BIRDS

WORKSHOP INFO: £35 (2hrs) Everything Included - tools & equipment for use on the day, materials & refreshments. Firing is also included. In this two hour workshop you will have the chance to hand sculpt your very own ceramic bird, with careful instruction and guidance from Lois to help you hand build your bespoke bird. You will learn techniques including making a pinch pot, shaping, jointing and smoothing, then adding some texture and colour as finishing touches to your creation. At the end of the session Lois will take the birds to her studio to dry thoroughly before firing. Your piece will be available to collect from Elevate approx. 4-6weeks after the workshop date. MATERIALS & EXPERIENCE: All materials, tools and equipment are provided for use during the workshop. Refreshments will also be provided. This is aimed for beginners and those with experience who would like to learn more about sculpting with clay. ABOUT LOIS: Lois' background is in sculpture & she has always loved creating with her hands. In more recent years she has focused on all things mud (clay). She loves that it is such an amazing material, so valuable and you can let your imagination run wild. She is largely influenced by her love of local flora & fauna, the reason why birds adorn so much of her work. *** Please Note *** We require a minimum of 5 to run this workshop. No refunds available. WATERCOLOUR & COLOUR

WORKSHOP INFO: £30 (2.5hrs) Everything Included - tool & equipment for use on the day, materials & refreshments. In this two & a half hour workshop you will have fun experimenting and playing with watercolours and colours. Kate will help you experiment with the wonderful medium of watercolour and produce several small projects/samples during the class for you to take home. MATERIALS & EXPERIENCE: All materials, tools and equipment are provided for use during the workshop. Refreshments will also be provided. This is aimed for beginners and those who would like to learn how to play with watercolour without the pressure of producing a piece of art but learning skills and techniques. ABOUT KATE: Kate has been teaching for over 16years & still loves it.
