As part of Elevate, we are excited to have a large, light and airy room we call THE SPACE. At Elevate we believe that creativity can have a huge, beneficial impact on our state of wellbeing. For this reason, The Space is a dedicated Creative Space, where we offer a wide variety of in-person creative workshops, classes & creative cuppies. These are run by both Kate, our Creative Director and multiple Creative Collaborators. OPEN STUDIO INFO: £26 (3hrs) Open Studio - SEAGLASS JEWELLERY Open Studio session offers hosted access to The Space for self-directed seaglass jewellery making. You’ll have 3 hours of studio time in a calm, shared environment to design and create your own seaglass pieces. **You MUST have attended a SEAGLASS workshop at The Space to benefit from the Open Studio Session*** WHAT IS INCLUDED: •3 hours of studio access •Use of jewellery tools and hand tools •Limited access to the drill •A selection of Stonehaven Seaglass •Some pre-drilled seaglass available •Tea and coffee •Experienced Tutor/s support for tool guidance and troubleshooting. WHAT TO BRING: •Any additional materials you would like to use (wire, chains, findings, specialist components etc.) •Your own design ideas (these can be simple and evolve during the session) PLEASE NOTE: The session is designed for INDEPENDENT MAKING, with tutor guidance available if needed. This is NOT a taught workshop. There is NO step-by-step instruction or set outcome. Drill access is shared, limited to max. 3/4 pieces to drill and may involve short waiting times. WIRE - SPRING FLOWERS -
Crocuses & Snowdrops

WORKSHOP INFO: £30 (2hrs) Wire Spring Flowers: Crocuses & Snowdrops Everything Included & Refreshments In this 2hour workshop you will learn to make your own beautiful spring flower collection, with our creative tutor Sarah . Sarah will demonstrate & teach you the techniques needed to use the wire to create a decorative floral sculpture to be mounted in driftwood or as a wire wrapped bouquet. She will be on hand to help, guide & inspire you make your own wire arrangements. MATERIALS & EXPERIENCE: All materials and equipment are provided for use during the workshop. Refreshments will also be provided. The workshop and skill level is for complete beginners & no experience is necessary. A level of dexterity is required to use the tools and manipulate the wire, so please keep this in mind when considering booking. Glasses (prescription or safety) should be worn. Please bring your own if you have them. ABOUT SARAH: Sarah has always loved making and crafting. Her current focus is on coastal crafts, mainly using seaglass, driftwood and pebbles from Stonehaven beach in her work. Sarah makes driftwood, seaglass and pebble designs, and seaglass jewellery. WRAPPED PENDANTS - NEW DESIGNS

WORKSHOP INFO: £30 (2hrs) WIRE WRAPPED PENDANTS Everything included & Refreshments WHAT TO EXPECT: In this two hour workshop Sarah will demonstrate & be on hand to help, guide & inspire you to make your own seaglass pendants using Stonehaven seaglass. You will be able to make up to three pendants in three different, stunning designs. You will be able to take home & wear your creations on the day. You will learn techniques including how to use pliers to make loops, how to use the wire appropriately for your project & how to wrap you bespoke seaglass to make beautifully unique pendants. Seaglass will be provided, but if you have a special piece please bring it along and we will do our best to incorporate it in your project. All the seaglass has been hand-collected from Stonehaven beach. EXPERIENCE: The workshop and skill level is for complete beginners & no experience is necessary. A level of dexterity is required to use the tools and manipulate the wire, so please keep this in mind when considering booking. WORKSHOP INFO: £30 (2hrs) PROJECT - FRAMED WREATH Everything included & Refreshments WHAT TO EXPECT: In this two hour workshop Sarah will demonstrate & be on hand to help, guide & inspire you to make your own framed seaglass wreath using Stonehaven seaglass. You will be able to make up to three different designs and choose one to mount in the frame. You will be able to take home your creations on the day. You will have fun designing and making your own unique wreaths, made with locally found seaglass. Seaglass will be provided, but if you have a special piece please bring it along and we will do our best to incorporate it in your project. CLAY MOO COO

WORKSHOP INFO: £35 (2hrs) CLAY MOO COO Everything Included - materials, glazing, firing & refreshments. This workshop will be a hands-on session to make your very own moo coo. Lois will guide you step-by-step through the hand building processes needed to create your one-of-a-kind little moo coo. Demonstrating & teaching you the techniques needed for your creation including pinchpot, shaping and joining. Plus how to texture & a colour to your Highland Moo Coo Included in the price is a transparent glaze. At the end of the session your coo will be taken to Lois's Studio to be bisque fired & glazed. They will then be returned to Elevate: The Space in approx. 5-6 weeks for collection. MATERIALS & EXPERIENCE: All materials, tools and equipment are provided for use during the workshop. Refreshments will also be provided. The workshop is suitable for beginners or creatives who have some experience with clay. ABOUT LOIS: Lois background is in sculpture, & has always loved creating with her hands. In more recent years she has focused on all things mud. She believes it’s an amazing material, so malleable and with a little coaxing you can let your creative imagination run wild. Influenced by her love for her wonderful local flora and forna - hence these wee birds can be found adorning so much of her work. *** Please Note *** We require a minimum of 5 to run this workshop. WORKSHOP INFO: £30 (2hrs) INTRO TO EMBROIDERY Everything Included & Refreshments Have you always wanted to try embroidery but never quite felt ready? This is a relaxed, welcoming workshop designed for complete beginners or anyone returning to stitching after a long break. We’ll explore simple stitches and approachable designs, building confidence step by step, and you’ll aim to create a finished piece to take home. This is embroidery without rigid rules. There’s no pressure for perfect lines or tiny, uniform stitches. Instead, we’ll embrace a more freestyle approach - stitching with curiosity, personality, and freedom. Here, we celebrate the beauty of individuality - where every stitch tells its own story, and imperfection becomes its own kind of perfection. ABOUT MARION: Marion has enjoyed embroidery for many years and has developed her own distinctive, expressive style. She believes stitching doesn’t have to be about strict tradition or neatness — it can be playful, intuitive, and deeply personal. Sarah will demonstrate & teach you the techniques needed to use the wire to create you wire and seaglass suncatchers. She will be on hand to help, guide & inspire you with your wire project. MATERIALS & EXPERIENCE: All materials and equipment are provided for use during the workshop. SASHIKO INSPIRED EMBROIDERY -
NEW STITCHED DESIGN

WORKSHOP INFO: £35 (2.5hrs) NEW SASHIKO DESIGN - Perfect for beginners or those who have tried Sashiko before and would like to try a new design and learn more techniques. Everything Included - tool & equipment for use on the day, materials & refreshments. In this workshop, we will learn embroidery techniques inspired by the Japanese art of Sashiko. We will work on a sampler piece, which can be made into a variety of items in your own time. There will be lots of samples to inspire future projects! In this class we will: * Discuss the history and uses of this technique * Learn about different fabrics and threads * Plot and mark out the stitching lines ready to sew * Practise simple stitches to create a beautiful geometric design * Understand how to start and finish our stitching * See examples of what our work can be turned into MATERIALS & EXPERIENCE: All materials, tools and equipment are provided for use during the workshop. In this hands-on 2-hour workshop, you’ll learn how to use essential jewellery-making tools to create your own beautiful pendants and earrings. You’ll explore working with a variety of different findings, making your own wire loops & wire wraps. These will bring your designs together into professional-looking pieces. By the end of the session, you’ll head home with your own handmade earrings and pendants – ready to wear or gift. This workshop gives you a solid foundation in jewellery making, with skills that you can continue to build and develop at your own pace. ABOUT KATE: Kate has over 18 years of teaching experience across a wide range of creative disciplines, including jewellery-making, silver clay, polymer clay, mixed media, and more. She has a deep passion for working with her hands. She is continually inspired by colour, texture and the joy of experimentation – especially watching ideas evolve and unfold into unexpected outcomes. Before moving to Stonehaven, Kate co-ran a studio, workshop and shop with her mum in the south of England. Since 2014, she’s been building a creative community here through her classes and workshops, now run solely at The Space.
