MR M PRICKETT
HEAD of EDUCATION at CRYSTAL PALACE FC
Tom has been an important member of my professional network on the subjects of ‘injury risk reduction’ and ‘sports performance enhancement’ in my various on and off field roles at Luton Town F.C., Watford F.C., and most recently Crystal Palace F.C.
Holding a BSc (Hons) in Sports Science, a Masters degree in Chiropractic, and a post graduate diploma in diagnostic musculoskeletal sonography mean that Tom is able to view the task or problem at hand from a variety of angles. I have yet to meet another clinician with this unique skill set.
Tom is extremely professional, motivated and is constantly improving his knowledge base in order to provide cutting edge services to his clients. He is equally adept working with both junior and senior age players due to his approachable and genuine demeanour.
I oversaw Tom designing and implementing an injury risk reduction and performance enhancement program for a junior age soccer school that covered the entire south east of England. It was a success with not only the players, but also with the coaches and parents who were invited to attend educational seminars.

I have known Tom since playing at an international tournament for ‘Elite Football’ in 2010 (The Gothia Cup). Tom provided medical and sports science support to our U16’s team, and as a young player this was a huge eye opener to me. The level of detail and planning was way above anything I had been exposed to up to that point.
Tom planned out our whole week down to the smallest detail to give us the best chance of playing to our potential over a hectic and intensive tournament schedule. We advanced further than expected in the tournament, but more importantly it gave our squad a chance to see how it felt to be a professional outfit. An experience that only made me more determined to make it as a professional player.
I had the chance to speak with Tom at length about my goal to make it as a professional and he encouraged me at all times. Even after the tournament he made himself available to treat injuries and give helpful advice, showing me where he had made mistakes so I would avoid the same pitfalls.
Eight years on and I am enjoying a career as a professional player with Millwall F.C. I have played nearly 250 professional games, represented my country at U19 level, and won a playoff final at Wembley. Tom would be the first to deny any great hand in getting my career started, however, you can never have too many good people in your corner. Tom is one of those I can count on.
